I have calculated panels for my studio as follows:
- 12 x 4'' thick broad band absorbers
- either 6 or 12 bass trap panels, 4'' or 8'' respectively
Q1 - Would I benefit more from having 12 x 4'' straddling bass trap panels to cover a larger % of studio walls as opposed to having 6 at double that thickness?
Q2 - Is 12 x broad band absorbers overkill? Should I put 1/2 that money into 50% more bass trapping instead?
Q3 - My room is quite irregular where each corner requires it's own unique treatment, for eg, only 1 corner supports a superchunk floor-ceiling. Another could take only 1/4 superchunk but a panel too. Should I focus more on symmetry as opposed to doing the maximum possible treatment per corner?
Any thoughts?

Hi. Please read the forum rules for posting (click here). You seem to be missing a couple of things!
Q1. and Q2. You don't say how big the room is, or what it is meant for, so it is impossible to answer those.
A diagram and photos of your room would help to understand it better.

If this is a control room, then symmetry is critical for the front half of the room, and maximum bass trapping is usually done in the rear half of the room.Q3. Should I focus more on symmetry as opposed to doing the maximum possible treatment per corner?
