Tuning Mix Room

Post by ndelonas »

Hi guys!

Well, studio is almost complete. Thanks SO much guys, for all the design help! It's very quiet up here, which is exactly what I wanted. Love it!

I'm now trying to tune my control room. Using RPlusD. How does this low-frequency plot look to y'all?

I wish RPlusD had some kind of dummy graph that was either thumbs up or down. I don't know enough to make sense of what's in RPlusD.

Great! And congratulations on achieving your goal.

That's actually a waterfall plot, not just frequency. It looks pretty reasonable, but I would suggest doing the test again using REW instead of RPlusD. I switched years ago, after they stopped updating RPlusD, and I'm really glad I did. REW is much more powerful, much more useful, and provides tons more information, in a more understandable manner. And the best things about it is the price: Free! :)

So please repeat the test using REW, then post the actual data file here, so we can download it and analyze it in more detail.

REW is actually a lot easier to understand. :)
