hello everyone !
i must admit that i am new to this forum and i got here by a link from the nuendo forum.
i am a music producer and i live in israel.
i am in the music biz for 10 years now .
first off all - i like to say that this forum is realy great and you read here great and important info !!!!!!
i have a problem - i have a new house wich one room inside this house will be for my recording studio. the thing is that - i know that the room more then 5 metter sqere ( 5 X 5 ) and i don't know what to decide if to build a one room studio wich will be the control room and the tracking room, or to build asmall room for recording vocalls and guitars and all the rest for control room.
i have experince with both - i mean recording and mixing in the same room and seperate rooms, and i got o.k resolts from both but there is that nosie pc and if i will go for 2 small rooms wouldn't i have a problem with monitoring ????
please help me - this realy importent for me !
p.s - i can go for 6 X 4 or 5 X 5 or 3 X 8 - i am talking abut the size in meters - what is your advice ?????

Deciding whether to go with a all-in-one-room studio or to cut it into smaller rooms is going to be mostly a matter of what you're most comfortable with. Monitoring isn't too big of a deal if you have good headphones. I can see 2 sides to the argument...
If you're doing vocal and guitar stuff, you won't need to have a huge tracking room for drums. With 2 separate spaces, you'll still have room to do what you need.
But a single, larger room means fewer walls (less money!) and a better sounding room to start with, so probably less wall and ceiling treatment.
But whichever you go with, try to not build square rooms.
