DIY absorbers (6 broadband and 2 'basstraps' for 160$)

Over the last week I've made broadband absorbers
it was a fun and rewarding project. let me show you how I made these!

products used:
*wood (5x2 cm pine)
*Knauf TP 416 5 cm thick (no idea on other specs)
*fabric (ikea)
*4 screws per panel, glue, and staplegun.

the 2 'basstraps' are also broadband absorbers, but 10cm thick and with 3 of the knauf panels stuffed in to hopefully absorb more low frequency content.

I don't have measurements, but my room does sound surprisingly good and tight when I loosely placed panels at the placed I will mount them at the wall (5 cm from wall). I still have to do that, but that'll be a project for next weekend. one (maybe 2) of the panels will be used as a cloud.

hmm I'm in a doubt here...
in this post I described the room I was making these absorbers for:

but now the room in the attic is empty and I could also make the studio op there.

in the grey areas there is storage space with very thin gypsum-plate walls: bass travels trough, I've checked by sitting behind it;) (so for better bass trapping I could even place isolation behind those plates right?)

I've placed my computer and monitors there, also with the absorbers. and the bass sounds much deeper , tighter and less boomy there, so I think I should move everything up a floor. The highs sounded more dull though.. maybe I['ve placed too much absorbers, or at the wrong places. there was also a bed in the room that might have absorbed some.

it seems to me that placing absorbers in such a room is different than a regular room with straght corners and angles. I could use some advice here

the peak is often a good place for a super chunk style absorber running the ridge. if you angle it slight so it extends the front wall angle - add plastic to the face this will keep the HF. then on the back wall-ceiling - scattered absorption to reduce any refections to your desk but not enough to make it dead. the bed probably does some absorbing. you could put a small stand up panel in front of it (assuming its behind you) with some slots cut into it to reflect a bit.

now I emptied the room and put all my equipment in there (the bed is there too, but positioned so that the room is symmetrical) and there's no lack of high frequencies anymore so I have no need of reflection panels in front of the bed. I'm going to attach the thickest absorbert in the top of the room along the ridge like you suggested.

I have placed the regular panels on either side of me and 1 in every corder. the 2 thickest along the ridge. I have great sound now clear and big sounding

I think there's a little peak somewhere in the low-mids though. I'll try to set up a mic and measure. If I know the problem area I'll post pics here from the REW.
