Hi,
I'm building my new control room, and since space is limited, it only measured 8 feet wide, with 10 feet length and 8 feet tall. I tried to angle the room a bit, about 12 degrees as suggested. So the space between the speakers is only 6 feet - 7 feet. My speakers are midfield speakers, with 2x10", a mid driver, and a tweeter for each. Should I change the speakers into smaller nearfield monitors? Or is there any chance that I could use those speakers in my room, maybe with soffit or angled placement?
Ari
Are the speakers too big for my room

Here's the picture.
Well, I made few adjustments.
At first, I was going to create partition behind the control room for other purposes, maybe a vocal booth or storage room for instrument. So it would be 8ftx10ftx8ft. But after some thinking and getting some advice from people, it looks like I'm not going to build the partition, so the control room is now bigger, the widths are 8ft (front) and 10ft (back), length is 15ft, height is 8ft. Hope it would be easier to put speakers.
The red line at the back of the control room is going to be a wood partition to make the room more symmetrical.
Also, any acoustic treatment suggestion?
