Sources in Seattle

Find out where to get building materials in your local area. If you find a good outlet post it and others will be able to access it through the search engine.

Sources in Seattle

Post by Eggman »

Some s:ources of materials in the Puget Sound area are:

Mineral wool @ Bay Insulation
Ice and water barrier (very much like sheet block except costs $47. per
3'x40' roll) @ Stoneway supply
Neoprene @ Pacific Industrial Supply (on S 4th) These guys have bins of
1/2" neoprene scraps for $1 a pound. I got more
than enough to do all floating floors and door for
$25.

Hope this helps.

Neoprene

I stopped by Pacific Industrial Supply. Those folks have everything! Could you tell me where the bin was that had the neoprene. I asked the shop person and he didn't know what I was talking about.

As you have been to Pacific Industrial, you know how hard it would be to tell you exactly where the neoprene bin is to be found. I saw it when I was there a few days ago. Another area in which to look is in the back on the right of the hydrolics building . There are rolls of rubber strips. I found some that were 2" wide. It is there, you just gotta look around. Check out my other post here in the materials section for rock wool and acoustic caulking. I have yet to find a local source for rigid fiberglass, so if you find one, please pass that info along..........Doug
