703

Post by Harper »

Hi I left a post about this in the acoustics section but nobody answered
So I'll try my luck here.

What I want to know is if the product 'Drainboard' made by Roxul would be a good equivilent for 703 or 705?

Check it out here http://www.roxul.com/sw17020.asp

it has a density of 8lbs per cubic foot

It looks to me that this is what we call Rockwool which can be used where 703 is not available. It is excellent as a inwall insulation but can also be used on the wall for treatment.

I'm sorry I don't have the time to download the tech info (9meg file!) so I can't check it's absorption figures. Maybe you have the time??

It's only drawback I see is it's only 1 1/2" (40mm) thick.

cheers
