Thanks John!
Just wanted to say welcome back, and to thank John for helping me with my studio design while the site was down.
Also wanted to that Carl for pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks again!

HAHA That's really funny dude... Well thanks again. Yeah the new design rocks. I'm going to finish it with Smart Draw and post it up so other people can get some ideas from it.cfuehrer wrote:Riad!!! You should have sent me your DUC ID. I didn't know it was you I was talking to all this time!
That new design looks cool.
I'm all set to begin construction now that the design has been ironed out.
Becareful of us crossforum people!

Rob

The Live room is pretty much unchanged except for two small details... one is that the angle near the HW heater has been reduced to give me more space. That was your recommendation. The other is the second sliding glass door inside the Live room recommended by John.
The Vocal booth I'll leave that shape and just add some baffles inside to offset the somewhat square shape.
Any thoughts on that?

Door Stuff
John couple of quick questions:
1. The size of the sliding glass doors... is smaller better for the sound resistence? I can put in either 5' or 6' doors. The 6' door is $30 more so that's not a factor.
2. The 30" normal doors located against the vocal booth and live room, it would look nice to also put sliders there, again am I comprimising sound? Do I need the door to the Live room at all (although I may not want half baked musicians to stuble throught my control room with amps and guitars) just a thought.
3. And for now, 2x4 walls or 2x6 (i've currently budgeted for 2x6 walls)?
Here is my website which has pics of the basement and layout...
