I stumbled onto a tip for cutting Ultratouch and thought I'd share it. Get a skilsaw/circular saw blade (finest teeth amount you can find), and mount it on the saw with the teeth facing backward. With the blade set to the highest cut depth it cuts through all but an inch or so on the 5.5" Ultratouch (which, for me, never seemed to fluff up to more than 4.5" or 5"). Then you can easily cut the last bit with a pair of scissors.
It's not perfect, but it produces a fairly clean cut (better than I was getting with just a knife), and it's MUCH faster and easier than any other technique that I've tried.
