Insulation time

Post by lemontree »

got all my dimentions, even worked out the timber and gypsum quantities. Now for the insulation.
Going with the inside out wall design.......50mm insulation on the outside (703 rigid fiberglass I take it?) what's the UK equivalent? And on the inside, rockwool for acoustic treament inside my wall frame 2"x4" UK equivalent again.

I've found 100+ places that do loft insulation (non compressed fibreglass) beyond that I'm turning up nothing

any UK builders out there?

Alec.

RW3 semi-rigid Rockwool seems to be the UK version of 703. Got a few companies close by that supply the stuff. Just need to price check them now.
