Soffit mount Quested H208?

Post by DaveC »

Hello, all!

I found this forum just now, so this is my first post :D
Anyhoo, I'm looking for a step by step illustrated plan for soffit-mounting.
I want to do this with my Quested H208 passive monitors.
Is it recommendable?
I read in most posts that the low frequencies would benefit from it and you would get a better stereo-image.
How do you deal with wiring after it's mounted inside a cabinet?
Can it be built just out of a wooden frame or do I actually need to build another wall(which is not excatly an option :? )
To be frank, I haven't got the slightest idea how to do this, so I would like to know how to start from scratch...

Thanks!

Thanks John!
I think I could manage with all the info I could find on this forum, which is great! 8)

I only wonder how to deal with wiring while soffit-mounting.
Are there some basic tips on that?
I mean, I could have the Quested's built in, but they still have to be connected to an amp.
So how do most people handle that?

Thanks!

Looks like there is plenty of space there for wires to run...
