Bathroom acoustics

My wife's in-laws are coming over next week and I need some advice. Now, I have a home office and my wife commutes to her job, so I am usually at home by myself most of the time when I have to take a dump. But, my wife is taking a week off of work and her parents are going to be staying in our spare bedroom which is adjacent to our only bathroom! I've been doing some acoustic testing and I found some nodes in toilet, but I'm kinda at a loss for what to do here. Should I hang some bass traps on the wall so I won't awaken her sleeping parents when I have to drop some scat, or coat the walls with OC 703? Help!

Take a radio to the bathroom with you and play Metallica loud! while you do your business. YOu know - I think it should be compulsory to at least put RC in the walls of a bathroom but unfortunately architects never consider acoustics when designing a house. It's not part of their training

Another beef I have is with restaurants - the trendy eatouts today have timber floors and white drywall - it's so fucking loud you can hardly hear the conversation you are having over the kitchen noise!!
