I would like to get some opinions on this layout . I have to move my basement studio from my partners house to mine as he wants to get out of it .

Yes John . That makes a little more sense and more room . Thanks.
If you want to checkout the studio we are in now try
www.packinshedsoundstudio.com/pic.htm , it's a bit crude and my partner wants to get out of the business so that is why I am going to build new .

I'm the one on the left relaxing ha . I would like to soffit mount the events but they are Biamped and get hot . I would have to put a fan behind there somewhere . Also what is the advantages to soffit mounting ? By the way the studio's you have designed are great looking .

Ah - I thought you were the right one as he was working :):)

Soffit mounting really helps the low end and high end definition. YOu can still mount the powered ones - you just need to allow for the heat to escape. Check out Thomas's suggestions on soffit mounting as it can be done simply by just putting a baffle in front. (do a search)

I've heard events like yours soffit mounted and they sound fantastic. (they are one of my favourite nearfields any way but soffited they are even better.
