Stu - either make a separate object for the drywall or resize the fill that housebuilder creates - you'll notice it puts it on it's own layer.

If interested.

It's not my find but sounds interesting as addition to sketchup and free as well:

I enter this link to leave credit to the persons where it's due.
Also shows some examples.

Here you can download the Housebuilder plugin:

link

I'm not sure it's a current version, because that's the only place i found it myself. It would be nice if someone could prove this.

ThomasNet CAD collections are available on Google 3D warehouse:

this is an excellent source of free components for design.

Hi,

I'm having difficulty finding information about ruby and how to use house builder.

The links to the sketchup forums on the first previous page in this thread are dead.

What forum should I be looking for?
Does this Ruby Housebuilders plug in work for the free version? YES!
If so, can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

EDIT: Never mind, with a very minimal amount of effort on my behalf, and some great resources I found everything that I needed, and am up and running.

Just use the Help that comes with Google Sketch Up 6, and the linked files. They are fantastic.

Ro - it was released in november 2008. I haven't updated (It's $98 to update the pro version) as so far I haven't noticed anything new worth paying for.

Hey there. Can't wait to build my first sand castle...

Was thinking of downloading Sketchup 7, checked system requirments out:
http://sketchup.google.com/support/bin/ ... &lev=index

I have an ATI Radeon HD4850 graphics card, and was wondering if anyone has had any difficulty with this Sketchup program
while using an ATI Radeon card?

Are there any other programs of a similar nature, that can match what sketchup offers?

Any thoughts are much appreciated on this matter.

Take care,
Adrian.
