want to convert unfinished basement into recording studio

Post by omblay »

Hello, this is my first time her. I just purchased a house and I'm hoping to turn my unfinished basement into a recording studio. I will most likely hire a contractor to do the job. He walls and floor are bare concrete and there is a stair well that comes down close to the center of the room. It's about 800 sq ft. I'm going to have to work around the stairs and the furnace. Furnace ducts are also protruding from ceiling. I'm hoping to build an iso booth, a control room and a live room. If you've got any suggestions to point me in the right direction, please let me know. Can't wait to hear from you guys.

Well here is an example you could use to start you off.

The boys 'round here helped work this out with me. Use it to get an idea and try to design one out.. Then post it and you should get some feedback.
