Hi there good people
ive got a 6x6m approx. shed and built a studio in that. heres a rough plan of it. there is no accoustic treetment so far apart from some foam on the walls around the monitors and on the back wall. the sound in the control room is kind of smeered and hard to pick out instruments. i just went and built it without much thought and now am considering tearing it down and starting again- (just the corner room). my question for the experts is can i get a decent sound out of it with accoustic treatment or should i start agin and just have one larger room. Im a student so i have more time than money. most of the stuff recorded in it is accoustic/elec guitar vocals and keys but would like to record a band as well. heres some pic that show the general plan. i dont know the exact dimentions but could get them.
thanks for your help
chris

Hi Chris - welcome to the site - your control room is small but if you treated the rear walls and ceiling you could improve the sound of the room considerably. Go to the studios under construction site (click the John Sayers Productions Logo top right and follow the links) and look at what others have done to treat similar rooms.
