hey, thanks for reply
i have just another question
for what reason do we need a woodpiece direkt behind, over an at the sides the speaker. What ist the consequence when i miss this. For me just the flush frontwall is important for disable the baffelstep from the cabinet of the speaker
maybe someone knows the reasen
cheers
mika

Good, but not as good as i hope
but i'm still working on this problem
I think its a room problem, not a soffit problem.
Now i make a lot of smallband helmholzresos to my friends, and then we will see/ hear
one thought - the cube space in front of the console between the 2 speakers - this possibly creates a resonant chamber and may also shift the response of the soffit because the space between the speakers is not continous. can you put some (temporary) solid panels there to see if that helps?
Hi for all!
Comparing soffits of the Barefoot and the John Sayers I perceive that
one it presents a box that receives the monitor and the other not
it presents this.
I intend to mount one soffit with NS10. Mika, the final result
it was good? I must to inside mount soffit with the NS10 of a box?
Excuses for my terrible English...
Hey duda
The owner of the studio ist very happy with the results of this type of soffitmounting.
We had modfied the room a litlebit with a few helmholz boxes tuned to the resonating modes of the room. The owner already mixed two LP's for comercial clients, and everyone ist happy with the sound.
So for me this system of sofitmounting is working pretty goog
Give it a try. The costs are very low.
greets to lovly brasil. i hope to comne back to brasil soon. 3 years ago i spend 2 month in curitiba for working
