Long studio space

I'm looking at building a mix room. I have a space that is 8.5 wide by 24 feet long. The door way can be any where along the long wall.

Needs: Surround monitoring
Small overdub booth
Console is 3' X 5'

Any suggestions?

It's a norrow long space mate - you are going to have a job fitting a surround system in a room that narrow.
Look how the proper geometry for surround fits in your shape
