Hey everybody.
I've just spent some time at the ASC website, and those StudioTraps and Quick Sound Field look really interesting.

So, what are the odds that I could somewhat duplicate these by rolling up some 4" mineral wool like a jelly roll, lining one side of it with half-mil plastic, and wrapping it with fabric?
Are the odds about the same as winning the lottery, which would enable me to just buy the product outright?
Thanks.

Maybe not quite as elegant, but same acoustic result. Be prepared to build several for the effect to be noticeable... Steve

I have NOW. Steve, you never cease to amaze me. Thanks again.Seen this?
Jon takes 6.5" fiberglass and compresses it to make it the proper density. But I already have the proper density SAFB mineral wool, so I wouldn't have to compress it.
Wouldn't it be good to just fill the entire cylinder with the SAFB? After all, Superchunks are solid. Or is the secret in the air inside?
And lastly, after reading so many posts here for so many months, how come I've never seen this mentioned before? Is it just not very effective? Is it inferior to the superchunks?
Does anyone have first-hand experience with these?
