One quicky...
I've seen some corner bass trap drawings on this site that show the distance from each corner is 24 inches. How much less can I make these ? My room is quite small (14x12) and I'd like to move it back to about 20" if I can. Will my frequency absorbtion decrease substantially because of this ? Is it still a fair plan ? Thanks again to everyone.

The corners made by the walls and the ceiling are usually "free space".

Sounds good
Thanks John. I was going to do a 703 wall on your reccomendation from before anyway. Should I not do the bass trap on the rear wall ? I was planning on doing a corner trap in each front corner as well. I can get away with losing 2 feet there. Are two front traps going to help me there ?

control room question
Yes John I am using nearfields.
One more question about the absortive back wall:
Have you built one before ? Would you have a drawing of the framing ? I assume I'll build out of plywood and do kind of a box design where I can fill in the box with framed 2x4 sheets of 2" 703 covered in burlap. I expect to leave 2" open behind the insulation at the bottom, and all the way up to 8-10" at the top. Does this sound like what you are talking about ?
