There had been concern that using these types of absorbers could *significantly* decrease TL. Yes - they did what was expected but the idea that it was going to be a large problem, in this particular situation, was disproven.
Now, if one were to completely cover wall surfaces with this type of absorber and they were all tuned the same - could it become a large problem, probably so.
Look guys, I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this. I'm taking it for what it is - an interesting experiment whose results are only valid for this particular set of circumstances - not a wide reaching paradigm that can be extrapolated to all situations. I simply commented that it they were interesting results. I apologize if my wording is not clearly reflecting my thoughts or cause others to read in more than what I mean.
I agree that this is a complex thing and additional experiments would be needed before drawing any conclusions as to broad implications.
