Hey Chris,
Have you looked at getting some 1U patch panels from Studio Spares?
Each panel holds 16 D shape connectors, so you can put 16 XLR/Jack/USB/whatever you want in each.
Here's a link: http://www.studiospares.com/pd_405620_1 ... 440430.htm
I used these for my studio, built a 4U stage box in each room, gave me loads of scope for future too.
Cheers,
Rich

I am in Canada. Can you let me know the US places for wallplates? I have my wiring in place I just need to make the custom wall plates for it.Aaronw wrote:Hello Chris,
I can point you to some places here in the States, but not sure in the UK. Steve or someone else here may know. There's plenty of other people here on the site that may be able to point you in the right direction.
Cheers
Scott

In the UK, canford audio are big specialists in this area...with studiospares doing a similar thing, but not quite as professionally http://www.canford.co.uk/, http://www.studiospares.com

Thank god for you guys!
I've been trying to find info on patch bays in the UK for a few days now. All i really wanted was wall plates because i was going to wire them up myself.
I would love it if i could hook up the plates so that when a mic or guitar is plugged in a little led or something would turn on. But i guess for that i'd have to buy a proper patch bay I'm sure i could figure out a solution but i cant remember my GCSE & A-Level electronics anymore :s lol
Oh well... Tis all good anyways.
Thanks for the links RichT & rob_h.
