DIY Wiring for oddball effect with mod:

Post by Murf »

Hey guys,

I've got an old fuzz pedal that doesn't have a DC jack, takes 9v only. I put an 2.2k resistor and LED on the + lead from the 9v clip and a toggle switch so I could leave the thing plugged in and still be able to turn it off and to have some sort of indication if the thing was on, to remind me to turn it off. (Got tired of forgetting to unplug it/buying batteries)

If I were to use something like above, with the adapter that goes onto the battery clip, should I worry about the resistor and LED or am I just being a worry wart? I don't like to assume anything when it comes to electricity.

Thanks in advance,

Murf

I think it's always a good idea to know when something's on or off; I'd keep the LED and resistor myself... Steve
Soooo, when a Musician dies, do they hear the white noise at the end of the tunnel??!? Hmmmm...
