Finally found a space for my studio. Everything is perfect about it except for a 22" wide pillar near the middle and various pipes running along the ceiling dropping about 1 to 3 feet into the room. It's 975 sq. ft. with close to 16' ceilings. I want to try and use John's initial layout at least http://www.stationxstudio.com/studio/SXS%20Design2.jpg if not, do it like this new idea which I have been shooting for http://www.stationxstudio.com/studio/st ... orplan.jpg I guess I don't really have to have the office and I guess the lounge could go but I would like to have it included if at all possible.
Below is the rough area I am dealing with. Please help me to lay this area out as best as possible.
New challenge

The problem that I would have with that is on the right side of the rooms are all the pipes and I'd have to build them running in the room. What about having at room up at the top and the iso booth to the right. I don't really want doors in the front of the control room. I would like to be able to at least have the lounge in area too. I have been playing with the layout all day and that damn pillar is ruining how I originally wanted the design. Can't seem to figure out how to get everything I want into the area

I have been playing with this layout all day. This is about the best idea I have. What about this type of design? Don't know how acousticly proper it would be so PLEASE make changes where you see I would need them. I like "The Control Room" image on the SAE site http://www.saecollege.de/reference_mate ... an%202.gif Maybe a CR just like that?
P.S. The little door on the left of the control room is for acces to the windows and air conditioners.
