I've had a good look around here, and have been a bit of a lurker, I'm a newbie in most respects so I can't really offer anyone advice, so this is my first post. A cry for help.
With my G5 currently out of action and in for repair (long sad story), I've had plenty of time to think about what I'm doing recording wise, and what I'm getting or not getting out of my current setup. Basically I'm generally happy with the gear I have (with the exception of the Mac - which, if it's not careful, will be sleeping with the fishes before too long), but I'm not sure that I'm getting the best of everything in terms of how it's all connected etc. I'll give a list of my main bits of gear, and could people please give me some advice on how best to hook everything up?? How would you connect this all to the 002? using what inputs etc? any advice on how to wire every thing up??
Heres the gear:
digi002R
Pod XT Pro Rack
Sansamp PSA1
Sansamp RBI rack
Aphex D207 MicPre
Helicon Voiceworks
Novation Remote 49
Korg Electribes (the synth and drum ones)
Behringer Patch bay
3 mics (SM57, AKG C1000, Marshall V69)
I'm also getting a bit of hum, not extreme, but enough to be annoying. I'd read about Humfrees Rack Isolation Tabs but after having a quick search, not sure if they are available in Australia. Cheers in advance.

Greetings and welcome to the site.
Probably the easiest would be to have every I/O come up to a patchbay (denormalled). With the exception of the mic pre's probably in your situation.

You may have some issue's w/ balanced/unbalanced connections. Unplug one piece of gear at a time to isolate the problem.I'm also getting a bit of hum, not extreme, but enough to be annoying.
