Control room design help...

Post by Dr. J »

I would appreciate any help with my control room design!
We are in the building process right now.

What should I be doing as far as room treatment for acoustics?
Should I frame over the windows, or can they stay?
Should I slightly splay the walls - even thought its a small room?

I unfortunately don't have much room for splaying walls with
the small dimensions, at 14' 1" x 10' 6", 7 ' ceiling, and because
it is in an existing structure(In basement, with posts & load bearing
walls that can't be moved) I am basically stuck with the doors being
where they are- bummer.

Thanks for any help & insight,
J

Yeah That door is in an awkward position. Just make sure you treat the rear of the room to eliminate any rear reflections and maybe the ceiling as well.

cheers
