I've been told by my supplier that Owens Corning is planning a 9% price hike around Novemeber of this year.

Thanks Bryan. Also, the binder matrials used in mineral wool (glass, mineral, rock, etc.) are petrochemicals. The prices will rising even more too soon.

It's a pretty safe bet that all building materials will be going way up in price due to the hurricanes in the Gulf. We still have 2 months of this years season to go.

I was trying to aviod tying it in to the destruction in general, which will as you wrote increase prices. My point was the relationship to petrochemicals.

None of this is good. The victims have my sympathy.
