Vocalbooths

Are Vocalbooths from places like wisperoom.com and/or Vocalbooth.com a good choice when recording vocals? Ive been looking around and I really don't have the experience or space to build a booth myself, Just wondering if they will be a good solution for my appartment.

What are you trying to achieve with your vocal booth?

Mainly vocals and some acoustic stuff. But i' m also thinking of putting some small guitar amps in there. Im working on a demo, and unfortunatly i live in an appartment, so most of my stuff i track using pod pros and various DI stuff. But id like to try reamping some of the guitar tracks through a small speaker cranked, just to see if i can give it some extra life. But im fine if that won't work. Vocals are most important at this point.

Trying to get it clear... are you going for isolation of interior nad exterior sound, isolation of instruments, good ambient sound for recording, good ambient sound for performance?

Oh, sorry. Im going for good sound isolation both interior and exterior. I realise the room will be dead, but its more improtant to me to get a clean track. I will just add room electronically later.

Yes they will work. I don't understand though having space for a booth but to build one. You can probabaly get all t4h laqbour in exchange for studio (booth?) time.

Well... I have the space to put one togeather in a day(vocalboot.com) . Once its built i can put the room back to normal and have a functioning booth. Where if I was to build one from scratch myself, it would take much longer and make a larger mess. I dont' have time for that. Also I have no experience with acoustics. Now I wouldn't mind paying sombody local (Toronto, Canada) to build me the same booth and then put it in my appartment, but for some reason it next to impossible to find anybody. So in conclusion! :D These guys seem to be my best option.
