Can anyone recommend a good high quality speaker cable to run from my amp to monitors.

John's right. For the most studio applications any reasonable gauge copper wire will do. I would suggest stranded 12 gauge oxygen free copper. It's sufficiently thick for typical distances and it resists oxidation at the exposed connection points. You can buy it fairly cheap at your local independent building supply store.
I could write page after page of reasons why speaker wire just doesn't matter and why the claims of those "boutique" wire (snake oil) sellers are complete bullshit, but I won't. It's a dead horse that has already been pulverized into oblivion.
