Not sure what to do with for Acoustics (and other Newbie Qs)

It looks like I will be adding more space to my studio area in the way of a Control Room seperate from the Live room. I Plan to build the stuff shown on http://www.johnlsayers.com/HR/index1.htm but I have no idea what to do with my low ceiling. The room itself is already built but the walls need to be covered (?) Let me explain. My Studio is the top level of a barn. The live room is a 20x25 foot room and on one side there is what was a storage room that will soon be empty. The room itself is built but the only real walls on it are on the exterior. One wall is part of the Live room and the other is part of a hallway and cannot be changed. The inside of the soon to be control room is mostly studs and the timber that makes up the outside of the barn. I can do anything I want to/need to do to make the room sound good. At this point I have a clear slate and am not even sure where to place my monitors. From the size of it looks like the desk should be on the 9 foot wall across from the door? Any input would be great.....Thx[/b]

Can you sbmit a side view of your room so we can have a better picture of angles and roof position. Place your mix position in this daigram as well (proposed mix position)

I made up a new diagram of the room from side. My mix position will be the wall oposite the door with my desk facing a 9 foot wall. I assume the desk needs to be about 4 feet deep maybe more? It needs to hold 2 CRTs, Keboard, mouse, control surface and within a year a 32 channel board. Also off to the side I need to mount a smaller tape machine witht he reel level with the top of the table. No more then 22" wide. I was thinking that could be off to the side as it has a remote and won't need to be messed with one the session starts. Under the desk i was going to put most of my racks in some rolling cases so they can be taken out for Live recording should the need arise. Also as noted in the image I was going to build an isolated rack on the corner between the door and wall on the live room side to hold my computer and amps. I was going to put a door facing into the room and leave the side facing the hall way somewhat open with a for a fan or two in it for ventaltion into a space that won't matter. Does this make sense? Am I insane? Any help is good help.

Thx

Pictured is the 11.6' length of the room and the 6.6' height. The width is 9 feet, so the desk would also be 9 feet? Iso Box will only be a few feet in width as the door will be in the way.
