Small bedroom studio treatment: advice wanted

Post by chadd »

I have a very small (9' 9" by 11' 6") bedroom project studio which is in desperate need of acoustic treatment. It has a hardwood floor and an 8' 9" ceiling. I use it for mixing and recording acoustic guitar and vocals.

I'm thinking of putting corner bass traps in the 4 wall/ceiling corners, hanging a OC 703 panel or minitrap over the right wall window and mounting one to the left wall door, and maybe taking the shelves off the back wall and putting some absorbtion there. I already have a 2' x 4' particle board panel with 4" foam glued to it hanging from the ceiling above the mix position and a couple RPG Abflectors on the front wall. I have two additional Abflectors I"m not using as well as a couple of RPG Skylines leftover from my former, larger bedroom studio, but I think this room may be too small for them to be of much use. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
