How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Hi Sara, welcome - can you please update your profile to include a location? Makes it easier in a lot of ways, thanks;

Also, your questions would take me a few WEEKS to answer; are we doing your thesis for you? Sorry, but neither John or myself have THAT much time...

For answers to a LOT of your questions, you can spend quite a bit of time here -

http://www.saecollege.de/reference_material/index.html

For lots of pix on specific builds by our members, check here -

http://www.johnlsayers.com/Studio/index.htm

For specific construction techniques, the reference section has quite a bit -

And, for more on design you should check the Design forum, here -

http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=1

Also, in future posts it would be better NOT to use "internet slang" - there are too many concepts involved here for such non-technical approaches to work without causing a serious LACK of complete understanding... Steve
