I am Stuart. We are known as the anti-spam forum with the best available REAL experts on all things acoustic (no scams, no spam, no myths, no snake oil), and highly acclaimed expertise in both customized studio design and also in killing spam from rude and uncouth spammer. We are really good at both!SoundproofingPr wrote:I am Geoff , We are known as SPAM specialists as we employ world’s best available technology and expertise for our customised needs. If you need any kind of spam banned from our side, just let me know. Oh wait! You already did! Thanks!
That's strike 2, Geoff. Is your problem that you can't read the forum rules? Or are you willfully ignoring them?
I already called you out on your first SPAM post yesterday, but you ignored that and went ahead with this one today. This was your second and last post. (This isn't baseball, so you don't get a third strike, because we hate spam, especially from apparently illiterate and ignorant spammers).
It's actually rather pathetic when a "company" that wants to sell acoustic products and services, decides to degrades its reputation so low as to spam the forums of other people, grovelling and begging to try to drum up business... Sad...
Strangely enough, the company name isn't even listed in the Australian Business Register, nor the Australian Securities & Investments Commission, .....
So it isn't a publicly traded or privately owned business.... Hmmmmm ... so what type of business is it? Does it even exist?
Good bye.

Re: Products to do soundproofing in Australia
Bumping an old thread.. I am looking to place my monitors up against the front wall and going by the posts on this forum (which have been great, by the way), the posts indicated that the monitors should almost be hard up against 100mm 703 panels..
We don’t really have OC 703 in Australia, and I would rather use a poly product instead of fibreglass or rock wool.
It looks like Tontine Insulation is no more?
Any guidance for a product which will give me the equivalent outcome that’s available in Melbourne preferably poly?
I didn’t think choosing acoustic panels would be this complicated.
Thanks in advance.
PS: I got a pair of EVE SC208 monitors and am looking forward to setting them up and using them..

Try Autex. Their polyester Quietspace Ceiling tile has a sort of fabric front.

Re: Products to do soundproofing in Australia
Thanks DanDan.
I had a look at the specs and price. The 100 mm quiet space panels seem to have specs that are in the ballpark for 703. However the cost is over $100 per panel (minimum of 6).
Are there any other options in Australia? I have no problem in creating a lightweight frame and covering with fabric.

Thanks John. I have ordered the product suggested and can now do some measurements and determine the impact of placing it in specific areas. Cheers.John Sayers wrote:https://insulation.com.au/product/fi48- ... c-blanket/
