Putting 2 x 10mm sheets of glass together to create 20mm ...
In my proposed 2 leaf system, it's been determined that I need windows in each wall to be 20mm thickness. I have plenty of 10mm lam glass (left over office partition glass). Can't I just place 2 sheets together? Is there a problem with friction or vibration? Could I put a thin sheet of transparent acrylic or something between them?

I would speak to a glass expert about this. I think the bond between the layers of glass needs to be perfect free of voids. Just placing them together wouldn't achieve this.
