I don't know in which forum this question belongs and/or someone alread posed it sometime, but does the STC/TL of a wall change with the size of its surface ?
• Size of partition (WxH) will how lower frequencies (longer wavelengths) physically pass through the wall. This only usually comes into play in a lab situation where correction factors have to be used for smaller sample sizes, say 4'x4', tested in the opening between rooms.
• More important is how the size of the partition is dictating the size of the rooms on either side. A larger room on either side could dictate a higher RT on one or both sides, which should be taken into account in STL measurements.
