Got one soffit installed and will finish the other one tomorrow.. Rain coming later in the day tomorrow and not letting up for maybe 2 weeks. Super bummed..

You might as well do a REW test, just for the record: even though there's no insulation in the rest of the rear wall, it's data that might be worthwhile having: it can be compare to the other test when the entire rear wall was empty, to see what effect the soffits are having. Should do a little to the low end...

Yes, the one i got is a mineral wool product. I wrote the manufacturer before purchasing and they sent me an independent acoustical laboratorys measurement result for 50 mm thickness product. While it was a bit lower than 703 - the general absorbtion coefficient values were pretty close when i compared them to the data in OC datasheet. So I was pretty confident ordering.

So if i understand correctly - i should first set up my room with speakers, measure them in a completely untreated state and then decide weather i need the more fluffy stuf or the more dense insulation, correct?
I have to admit - i didnt think through the insulation thing too much. I assumed I will be treating all the walls with insulation and then adding tuned or precise treatment for liveness and since the total cost of insulation was around 400 USD - I didnt stress too hard. Obviously, I was thinking about products that would be more effective in the lowest of frequency ranges. I can still return this product if it turns out to be a very bad purchase.

I'm trapped under bad weather for the moment, which will slow me down on finishing the back walls for a week or so. I need the outdoors for the sanding and cutting since my garage is full of materials. I'll be starting on the cloud after that liked we talked about.
So I'm wanting to know what the rest of March is looking like for you. I'm hoping for you can have the soffits ready for me to work on by the beginning of April.
With regards to the cloud, I need to know about the wall features behind the cloud. The boards over the sliders and the space over the speaker soffit. I asked already, but you may not have noticed. Do you see anything you want to change before I put the cloud in place? Can you guess at the change in the angle of attack? I May need to change the cloud dimensions so that it clears the walls.
