Ever heard of Cali suspension systems?

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

There are better solutions than resilient bars for Floor/walls/ceiling suspensions.

I'm not a dealer of theese systems but I sometimes build studios (some pros, some home-studios) and I want to share those products.

Go to http://www.cali.ca/

Sorry, for the french version, there's maybe an english version on this site, but look for theese products!

Serge, looks like pretty heavy duty stuff - unfortunately I speak about 10 words of French (very poorly) so all I could do was look at the pictures; couldn't see a link to an English version.

Resilient channel, while it's about the cheapest way to decouple, isn't the only way for sure; places like Kineticsnoise.com, mason industries, and the RSIC-1 clips and hat channel are other options with similar results.

In fact, using resilient channel requires more than usual amount of care to avoid problems - some of these other solutions, if budget isn't the main concern, will be easier to implement.

Thanks for the link... Steve

BTW, are you from the Ontario area? I know Uranus is cute (oops, that sounded bad) but a general area location in your profile helps everyone know better what to suggest, etc - could you please update your profile with that info when you get a chance? Thanks...

I've updated my profile from your request :)

Yes this is a french-only site.

I could suggest to make an english version by posting him to do so.

That would be cool; it never hurts to have more sources of supplies - it might be worth it for increased business for them as well... Steve
