Acoustic ceiling construction advice

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Acoustic ceiling construction advice

Post by mamumel »

Hello all.

My name is Manuel, from Spain, and is not the first time I write in this forum, but last time I did in spanish, so firstly sorry for my poor english.

I just a doubt. What technic do you use to resolve the next problem? When you are construction a ceiling, for example 5 meter width and 7 meters lenght, and you have just a 3 meters wood strip, what can I do?

I need this beams to put on the cloth pannels and the absorbent material, and in other way to strengthen all the structure.

I want to say that the framing option is no an option because I dont need to put on the gypsum board because I dont need isolation, only acoustic treatment.

Thank you so much in advance.

Hello!

I don´t know if I am doing something wrong. I don´t provide room details because I don´t speaking about a concrete room. Is just a building question.

Perhaps is too soon to receive a question, I dont know.
Thanks
