Hey guys, I need to seal a window thats on my concrete underground basement. This wall will be my first outer leaf and id like some suggestions as to not compromise the sound proofing effect.
Right now the window frame leaves about 10 cm space into the wall. I was thinking maybe i should put some rock wool directly on the glass (after sealing the gaps) and after that cutting 2 layers of cement board in the windows opening dimensions. maybe using a MVL leaf as well . all this would be sealed with acoustic mastic and held in place by a larger cement board piece attacked directly to the wall. Would that provide sufficient mass? What would you recommend?

Without a diagram or photos, it's hard to see what you are dealing with, and harder still to provide helpful suggestions!

So what I finally did is, I sealed everything and put some insulation mainly to fill any cavities, hinges etc. After that I built it with 10cm ytong. No air passing through. Do you think is that enough. Should I install any drywall on top to make sure no sound passes through?
