BUILDING NEW STUDIO (from the ground) Belgrade, Serbia

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

BUILDING NEW STUDIO (from the ground) Belgrade, Serbia

Post by Nikola Simic »

Hello guys,

Nikola is here, from Belgrade, Serbia.

Im planning to build a home studio on the ground level in my yard.

It is going to be a standalone object with only one side wall „glued“ to my old house.

The upper floor is going to be empty, for now, but in the future time I will use that space for living, working, who knows.

Nearest neighbor’s house is about 7 meters from this new object and since I plan to lean side wall of the studio room to my house, certainly I am concerned about the noise from the studio room. :cop:

Here is an autocad drawing showing my ideas and plans.

So, what I need from you guys is an opinion, suggestion or and idea about this issue.

The only restraint here is the fact that the total surfase of the object is about 60m2.

Beside that, Im planing to spend my money only on necessary things, of course :blah:

Unit of length is in the metric system (cm) centimetre.

REMARK:

The inner bricks are intentionally angled for creating some diffusion. Maybe only one wall is going to be this way, i dont know, this move is totaly experimental for me.
