Hi,
this may seem like a strange question , but can sand be used in the construction of bass traps?

Hi. Please read the forum rules for posting (click here). You seem to be missing a couple of things! 
To answer your question: In what way do you propose using sand in a bass trap, and what type of bass trap? Sand has some uses in acoustics, since it is massive and also porous, but you'd have to show your proposed device and explain how you think it would work, then we could comment on it.
