rockwool loft insulation

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

What is the density of that stuff? You need something around 50 kg/m3. So if it is in that range, then you'd be good with that.

Hi Stuart,

here is what i can find on the product

PERFORMANCE & PROPERTIES
Property
Thermal Properties
The thermal conductivity value of these products is 0.044W/mK. For more information about U-values please see the Part L Guide or the product datasheet.

Acoustic Properties
ROCKWOOL® Roll, Twinroll and Rollbatt can all be used to improve acoustic comfort. For more information please refer to the prodcut datasheet and the SOUNDPRO® Guide.

Fire Properties
Roll, Twinroll and Rollbatt are made from non-combustible mineral stone wool, which is rated as A1 non-combustible.

Third Party Approvals
These products hold the following third party approvals: CE Marked KiteMark KM06661 LUL (London Underground Limited) KeyMark

Ozone Depleting Potential
Relying on entrapped air for its thermal properties, we are proud to say that ROCKWOOL® Roll, Twinroll and Rollbatt do not contain (and has never contained) gases that have an ozone depleting potential (ODP).

Global Warming Potential
Relying on entrapped air for its thermal properties, we are proud to say that ROCKWOOL® Roll, Twinroll and Rollbatt do not contain (and has never contained) gases that have a global warming potential (GWP). Therefore, they have a zero GWP for the purposes of rating schemes such as the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Not much actual data there! You might have to just weigh a roll and measure the volume, to figure out the density yourself. But most likely you'll be fine with that, as it does call it "medium density" and it does mention acoustic applications. It would just be nice to confirm that with actual data.
