Cover the front of the mixer?

Post by Riad »

My Argosy console has a large reflective front facing the soffits. Should I treat this with some 703 covered in fabric, or leave it reflective... any thoughts?

Thanks,
Rob

Actually that is a very GOOD Idea.

The difference between your soffit design and the plan John has posted around here is that you do not have an abosrptive lower surface (from what I caould tell from the pics)

What I did to compensate for this was to cut bass traps in the bottom of the soffits, they are covered in cloth to catch any reflections off of the console... but I may want to help that out some.

Are you talking about the port holes in the bottom of the soffit??

That will be barely effective against highs and mids that want to reflect off of the wood that is below yur soeakers (unlless the picture is lying to me and that wood look surface is a cloth covered surface. ???

Anyway, hitting the back of your desk with 703 would be a very good idea. 705 might be too hard/reflective for the task.
