Cheap Source for OC 703 in the Northeast US

Post by Drums1225 »

Hey all,

First time poster here, but I have been reading the forum for a few months, now. I was about to make the mistake of buying Auralex studio foam, but when sticker shock sent me to Google in search of a cheaper and more effective solution, thanks to this and other forums, I learned of the benefits of (DIY) acoustic panels made with OC 703.

Anyway, I'll have plenty of questions as we go forward, but for my first post I wanted to let my (Northeastern) American brethren know that I picked up 12 sheets of 2" OC 703 from KAMCO SUPPLY of New England for $92. Since even the cheapest places online charge over $70 for 6 pcs, I figured I'd share this significantly lower price.

If you're within driving distance of a Kamco Supply, you can save yourself quite a bit. They had to order it, but they just include it in their next OC shipment, whenever that happens to be. For me, it was about a week.

Best,
Chris

Hi Chris, and welcome!

But DAMNIT! Why don't I live there? Love to get my hands on some of that at those prices! :)

Looking forward to seeing your build thread!

Thanks Stuart!

Maybe OC 703 is hard/impossible to get (or expensive) in Chile, but I bet it's a lot warmer there than in NY! I'll try my best to document and share the building process.

Best,
Chris
