Sketchup has now released version 5 and I've updated to it.
To view version 5 files you will need to download the new Mac or PC version 5 viewer.
cheers

Re: Sketchup Viewer
ummm, I can't seem to upload my sketch-up plans for a thread I started elsewhere on the forum. It says the file needs be below 500 KiB. I even tried compressing it into a zip file, but still ...
Having to upload my sketches on another site .
Anyone know a way out ?

Re: Sketchup Viewer
Remove all unnecessary objects from your file, then PURGE it. SketchUp does not actually remove things that you delete until you purge the file. They are all still inside it, even though you can't see them, and you need to purge it to get rid of that.
Also be aware that 3D text takes up a LOT of space, and so do many models and components that you can download.
