What I'm saying is running the solid pipe through a silencer "type" box won't achieve silence.
the noise if any is coming from the split unit itself.
Noise from the out side unit will still carry alone the pipe (if any).
If you buy a quiet split system, you shouldn't need to do much else but install it.

Silencer boxes are designed for fans. A way to have a massive opening into your "air tight" room!
To let fresh air in and stail air out.
IF the Daikin unit does both then bonus!!!

I've heard the Daikins and they're pretty quiet when on normal mode.

When they are on fresh air mode though, they are a bit noticable. still not too tragic though.
But I think during mixing the fresh air option would be turned off. Another reason why I'm also adding an indepentent ventilation design.

Very well, I'll just seal the holes, where the pipes come in then!

Do you happen to know, if anything can be put on the drywall hole to make it a bit stronger
for where the split-unit's ducts will be? Like a metal ring or something?

Today we made the lower vents of the soffits, which were made out of Chicken wire, and strapped together with Cable ties.

It's prob too late now, but running the aircon pips through a noggen or frame would have been better
What about a 2nd layer of plaster board in behind glued.
That will give you more depth to fill with acoustic caulk

I could do a longer thin square duct and place that at the hole and perhaps fill it with insulation and caulk at the end?
Do you have happen to have any pics of these?

Here's another pic update.

We've placed the plywood side surfaces on the soffits and also placed the control room's sidewalls.

Based on the above measurements, I think it is a great idea to move the wall.

The existing room is square, and that never sounds right

The monitor boxes are fitted with chicken-wire ducts on top,
also a plywood has been placed on the right wall to extend the angled wall to come in line with i'ts opposite wall on the left.
The slats will extend on the plywood as well. Various holes have been drilled on it to allow the sound to move behind it freely.

Hey, all it's been some time since I've been here. Starting again with the build!
I'll be posting pics real soon.

I'm currently researching putty pads, does anyone know if they are a necessity for inside-out constructions?
Or are they used only on constructions where the walls have holes for the electrical sockets?

I'ts been some time since I posted any pics, so here they are!
We finished the silencers, and now we are drilling the holes on the walls.
Not having a demolition hammer powertool, we drilled a large amount of holes on the wall and chiselled our way through.
