Thanks a lot, Glenn, without ur support, guidance and encouragement it would've never happened
I hope I'll be able to build it just as nicely!
Busy with cabling the whole thing (thousands and thousands of cables....)
I'll try to post pics soon

I just realized something: my speaker boxes are really tight, so much so that the only way to pull the speaker out is by slightly tilting the box. I won't be able to tilt them after I've built the soffits...
Any ideas/suggestions?
Cheers

P.S.: rigid insulation inside slat walls is to be placed against the inner leaf, not the slats, correct?

one option is to put a polyester packing strap or heavy twine behind them as you insert them. this gives you something to pull on. however make sure they're are not so tight as to be coupled to the speaker box... your rubber or insulation decoupling layer in the box should be firm but still prevents the speaker from transferring directly to the box and the frame.

If you put the rigid insulation about 2" in behind the slats and cloth, then lightly fill the remaining space with pink insulation.

Ok, so the pink goes between the rigid and the inner leaf, right?
Out of curiosity, how do you hold the rigid in place 2" from the slats?

it's rigid and is supported somewhat by the pink insulation
plus you can use insulation mesh to keep things in place

Even chicken wire (chicken mesh) will work.

Good point Stu
I found some cheap garden mesh/wire. It'll match the rockwool green!
