Voice Booth Im building - HELP! Ventilation/Soundproofing

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Thanks ... I was trying to do a quick calc in my head at the end of the day bending over a portion of desk to get to my keyboard. I gues I was more tired than I thought. ;)

I'm in front of a PC now and recalculated. :)

Ahhhhh...mathmatics!

It has taken me 6 days to decide that my CR needs to be 19'2" deep. And that's only because the contractor need to nail down the sole plate!

OK ... I'm done. I been too busy to post pics up when I was first done.
I've already recorded sound bites for a radio commercial and two vocalists.

I decided to only coat opposing walls with acoustical wedges, and made some detachable sections so I can vary the rooms charateristics.

By the way, here is one of those sound bites for a play, to be integrated into a radio advertisement:

People love the booth, and it gives my home studio more of an air of credibility and professionalism.

I'm glad I did it! :)

You should install a ventilation and some ceiling fans in the room. You better check some board material of a sound proof cover for your walls and ceiling.
