and my new one which will be happening this year,
I have just moved house and will be building a new studio from scratch in the garden, i thought i would post up some picutres of the old SMALL studio that i had for 2years it was very well sound proofed i had a outer layer of brick 3" cavity and then light weight concrete block, 2" studding and rockwall / 1 layer of plaster board
It really was too small and the accustics were not great as i built it with out any plans and had no bass traps as space was limited  my new one i will be putting in a lot more research and also i will take my time once the building is up and roof is on.
so heres the old studio (not the greatest pics and there are many missing of the final finished product i will try dig them out )

The building existing will be coming down to make way for my new studio, the outer dimensions will be 6m X 4m X 2.8m high with a flat epdm roof, i have kept my old studio door as it cost me £700 to have made:P , im going for 400x 215x 150mm concrete block to build this one and then having it rendered i will post my building plan soon once its finshed.
my budget is tight so i will have to go for just the 1 layer of block. The internal walls will have to be much better this time round, once i have finalised the actual building i will get to work on the plans for Acoustics / sound proofing,
The actual internal plan is to have a control room, and one tracking room, most of the time the tracking room will not be used so this will be smaller than the control room.
