Howdy folks!
I've read all of the sticky's and would like to post some questions about my space, but I can't seem to get Sketchup to do what i want it too...
I don't want to post specifics without a dimensional drawing... unfortunately, I've been spending my time learning my Daw, Pickin', and Singin'....
Any links to good tutorials?? I've been through some of the stuff on the sketchup site and it wasn't telling me how to do the things I want to do....? Like draw a wall.... with a dimension mark...
PLEEEEEZE help! I love this site and can't wait to post my space for some creative suggestions from ya'll!!!!

Sketchup....grrr....

just draw a rough sketch by hand on paper with accurate dimensions - include doors, windows, pipes, ducts, columns, etc. photograph it and post it.
or using the sketchup pencil tool, just draw lines based on the rough drawing - they can be to scale in sketchup - and you'll have a perfectly workable 2D floor plan. use the construction line tool to designate ducts beams etc. and the text label tool to point out salient features. keep it to 2D. it shouldn't take too long if you keep things simple.
meanwhile there are numerous videos on YouTube regarding using Sketchup.
Cool! Will do... pencil and paper sounds more like me.... Analog, right!
